JAMES TALCOTT CONSTRUCTION 3 GENERATIONS OF QUALITY CONSTRUCTION

Back in 1930, Burt Talcott left the lumber yard business to start building homes in Great Falls. His reputation grew, more homes were built, and this was the beginning of a three-generation commitment to the construction industry.

Burt’s son, James, shared his father’s building skills and joined him in the business. James expanded into commercial work, developing expertise in steel construction. He built many grain-handling facilities and even patented his own system for erecting grain elevators.

James’ son Brad joined his father in 1976 and eventually took over the business. He and his sister Diana led the company into multifamily, commercial and industrial construction. JTC grew from a handful of employees to well over 130 in peak construction season.

We’re proud of the many facilities – and relationships – we’ve built in more than 75 years, and we look forward to continuing that tradition.
